POWERBALL Tournament {Super Smash Bros.}

The 2nd tournament in the Smash N’ Grab: Alpha Series will be the Powerball Tournament! 

It will be taking place on Sunday, Jan. 24th @ STAR Cinema Grill-Baybrook.

This is NOT your average tournament! There are a few distinct rules that makes this tournament special:

1. The SMASHball item will be ALLOWED

---this changes up strategy since some characters do not have a very good final smash (maybe even your main).

2. The first match of the 2 out of 3 set will use RANDOM characters!

---this means you have to somewhat know how ALL of the characters play

3. Seeding will be based on a drawing.

---luck of the draw of who you will be playing in the 1st round!

Because the Smashball item can be sooo effective with some fighters, instead of having only 3 stock, each player will have 5!

Anything can happen in this tournament.  A lot of skill is involved, but there is also a lot of LUCK!

This tournament will also help you rank up in the standings. You want to earn as many points in these tournaments as possible so that you have a higher seed in the SMASH N' GRAB Tournament Finale. Once again, the points are distributed as follows:

Participating in the tournament= 1 point

Each match win= 1 additional point

3rd & 4th place= 3 additional points

2nd place= 5 additional points

1st place= 8 additional points

The higher the seed, the better chance you have of winning!

To sign-up, please RSVP on the website. Once you have registered, send the tournament fee ($25) to $nerdalertgaming through Cash App. 

Remember, due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 20 gamers are allowed to participate. So sign-up early so you do not miss out!
